Consultants in Greenland and the Faroe Islands Seek Closer Cooperation

Technical consultants from Greenland and the Faroe Islands are looking to strengthen cooperation across the North Atlantic.

On 5 October, consultants from the two countries met in Tórshavn to get to know each other better and discuss opportunities for collaboration. The meeting focused on exchanging experiences, addressing shared challenges and exploring potential areas of cooperation.

During the meeting, several areas of common interest were highlighted, including new building regulations, DGNB certification, tendering procedures for consultancy services, regulatory approval processes and opportunities to collaborate on larger projects.

The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation across the North Atlantic, building in part on the recently signed cooperation agreement between the Greenland Business Association (Grønlands Erhverv) and Vinnuhúsið.

The industry committees representing consultants in Greenland and the Faroe Islands see significant potential for closer cooperation. The aim is to build stronger professional networks, share knowledge and experience, and ultimately develop concrete partnerships and joint projects in both Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
