Steen Mørup joins Greenland Business Association as Legal Consultant

As of 1 August, Greenland Business Association has appointed Steen Mørup as Legal Consultant. He brings more than 40 years of experience in Danish and international tax law and has spent his entire career working with advisory services, case management and complex tax-related matters.

Steen trained as a tax auditor with the Danish Tax Agency and earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of Copenhagen in 1992. After leaving the Danish Tax Agency, Steen worked with, among others, Velux and KPMG. For the past 25 years, he has worked as a tax consultant with the audit and advisory firm BDO, most recently as Director, Tax Legal.

Through his work in the audit and advisory sector, Steen has gained extensive experience in understanding the specific circumstances of businesses, advising on complex regulations and representing clients’ interests in dealings with public authorities. He has also closely followed new legislation in an area that is constantly evolving.

Greenland is not new to Steen. In the autumn of 2024, he was seconded to BDO’s office in Nuuk for three and a half months. His stay gave him a deeper understanding of Greenlandic tax rules and Greenlandic society. It also strengthened his desire to return and contribute to representing the interests of Greenland’s business community.

At Greenland Business Association, Steen will advise members and represent their interests in dealings with public authorities. He will also assist members with specific issues and challenges, participate in the association’s industry committees, and contribute professional updates and insights for GE’s members.

We look forward to working with Steen and warmly welcome him to Greenland Business Association.
