ARCTIC CIRCLE GREENLAND FORUM SESSION: GREENLAND AND THE ARCTIC 2050

This weekend, Greenland Business Association and the Arctic Economic Council are hosting a session at the Arctic Circle Greenland Forum in Nuuk.

The session takes place in Katuaq’s Hans Lynge Hall on August 27th and will present some of the necessary steps that Greenland will have to address going forward. A panel consisting of Malik Hegelund Olsen (Royal Greenland), Martin Kviesgaard (GrønlandsBANKEN), Maria Ackrén (Ilisimatusarfik) and Palle Christiansen (Anori A/S) will offer their take on the following themes:

  • Education & Demographics
  • Energy
  • Alliances
  • Sustainability & Climate

The speakers will address the status in 2022, trends in 2035 and trends and vision for 2050 and offer their take on what needs to be done and what to be aware of to secure success. A political perspective will be provided by Aaja Chemnitz.

The session will be moderated by Mads Qvist Frederiksen and Christian Keldsen in English.
