The company is founded on September 1, 1973, in Uummannaq by Harald Larsen and Ole S\u00f8rensen. However, in the mid-1980s Harald Larsen leaves the company. In 1991, Ole moves to Upernavik and starts a new company there, and the two original companies merge in 2005. \nLAS\u00d8 A\/S has developed significantly over the years. Although they have reduced their workforce today from almost 150 to around 50 in the high season, LAS\u00d8 A\/S is still one of the most significant companies in the region. \n<\/p>\n\n
